Instant Pot Chili Recipe


    1½ pounds Ground Beef
    ¾ cup finely diced Yellow Onion
    2 cans Dark Red Kidney Beans, rinsed and drained {15 ounces each}
    2 cans Tomato Sauce (15 ounces each}
    1 can Green Chilies, 4 ounces
    2 cans Ro-tel (10 ounces each)
    ½ teaspoon Cumin
    ½ teaspoon Ground Mustard Powder
    3 large Garlic Cloves, minced
    ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
    ½ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
    1 tablespoon Chili Powder
    ½ teaspoon Dried Basil Leaves
    ½ teaspoon Salt
    Grated Cheddar Cheese and Chopped Green Onions for garnish. {optional}


  • In tiny bowl, mix Cumin, Mustard Powder, Black Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, seasoning, Basil Leaves and Salt.
  • Place hamburger, Onions and Garlic in Instant Pot, set to Saute and brown for seven minutes.
  • Once beef is brunet , cancel Saute setting.
  • Add seasonings from tiny bowl to Instant Pot and stir till well combined.
  • Then add inexperienced Chilies and Beans, and stir mixture completely.
  • currently create a crater within the middle of your mixture, ensuring a number of the mixture remains covering very cheap of Instant Pot.
  • Pour the spaghetti sauce into the crater, so add Ro-tel in center, keeping the tomato chunks within the center and faraway from the perimeters of the moment Pot. don't stir into mixture.
  • Place lid on pot and choose Pressure Cook, air mass and alter cook time to eight minutes.
  • heat can begin ten seconds when settings are selected .
  • Once cook time has completed, fast unharness pressure before removing lid. (a gradual fast unharness can lead to less mess)
  • permit chili to cool down for five minutes, then stir before serving into bowls.
  • Garnish with grated store cheese and cut inexperienced Onions. ENJOY!!
