Irish Apple Cake

  • 6 Tbsp unsalted cold butter, cut in small pieces
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • custard sauce

  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 6 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 C. whole milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
